now bring us some figgy pudding.

Dear friends, I hope that your christmas was as good as mine! I love christmas time but this year was TOP SHELF. I will elaborate. We kicked off the christmas season by going to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's annual christmas spectacular! Natalie Cole was the guest singer this year and it was all phenom. It is such a great way to get into the spirit of Christmas and think about what we are really celebrating. We took our friends Jessie and Keith with us and they were lovely company. The plan was to go to that and then to walk around Temple Square admiring the lights and the nativity and all that jazz but the temperature this day happened to be around ZERO so we were way too cold to even attempt it. We snapped a few pictures while speeding through instead.

Keith and Jacob obliged but they weren't really into it. As you can tell by their non-planned matching facial expressions. Also Northplatte Records had a christmas party for which Jacob dressed up his Northplatte T-shirt a little to make it more christmasy.
Here are some of our ornaments that we made for our tree! With a little help from Debbi. We thought the popcorn we strung and the ornaments looked nice. Couldn't have been happier with it. Pine needles and popcorn EVERYWHERE though.

And we got to spend a lot of time with family too, which was lovely! All of Jacob's family was in town which does not happen often and it was a lot of fun hanging out with them and playing tons of games and watching the children play with their new toys! (Little kids make christmas exciting again, right?)

Welp see ya later.
