My stepmadre Jenny always talks about this farmers market and arts and crafts market that takes place on Saturday mornings at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake and I have always wanted to go. So I decided to google it and see if I can figure out when it starts this spring and when I can go check it out. I came upon this cool website www.downtownslc.com that has a lot of cool things to learn about Salt Lake! What's going on down there and all that jazz. So! I was looking at a list of the best restaurants and I tell ya, my dad and Jenny always know where it's at with food. Some of their favorite restaurants are the best ones in Salt Lake. They also know about some that I'm sure are less popular but are no less worthy but anyway.. Here's the list!
Best Italian, Best Restaurant (SLC): Cucina Toscana --i used to eat here for lunch like twice a week. Thanks pops.
Best New Restaurant: Settebello --I have been here too and have to say it's TOP DRAWER.
Best Discovery: Tin Angel
Best Japanese: Takashi
Best Indian: Himalayan Kitchen --Don't mind if i do! Who wants to go? I love indian.
Best Restaurant Design: Metropolitan Restaurant
Best Bartender: Jerry Zoulek, Spencer's for Steaks and Chops
Best Brewpub: Red Rock Brewing Company *D & J's favorite place...they say it isn't as good since it switched ownership but still better than most of what we've got to choose from here in Utah.
So here is the deal with the Markets. They begin on June 14 and go through October! The early bird gets the worm, it goes from 8 AM til 1 PM.
The Farmers Market is a local growers’ market, full of fresh produce from over 70 Utah farmers. In addition to the produce, the Market also offers a variety of fresh baked breads and pastries, cheeses, meat and seafood, jams and honeys, house and garden plants, arranged planters, and numerous handmade arts & crafts. Unique food vendors also are a part of the Market, offering prepared foods and beverages. Mmmm!
The Art & Craft Market features vendors who create all categories of handmade, non-imported crafts and visual arts; including original paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, household wares, leather goods, dried flowers, bath products, furniture, and one-of-a-kind gifts.
So this summer... I'm going. If anyone wants to come along I would thoroughly enjoy the company!
